Shipping Policy

You must be 21 years of age or older in order receive shipments containing alcohol from Wide World of Wines. By having products shipped on your behalf by Wide World of Wines, you confirm that you are 21 years of age or older.

Wide World of Wines ships to all US States where “Direct to Consumer” alcohol shipment is allowed by local law. Wide World of Wines as an entity does not ship alcoholic beverages and only does so by proxy on behalf of the consumer/purchaser who agrees to take full legal responsibility and liability for any damages incurred to Wide World of Wines while performing this service.

Fine wines can be delicate and complex. It only makes sense that shipping them is an equally delicate and complex endeavor. We do not recommend shipping wine if the temperature exceeds 75 degrees Fahrenheit, or is below 35 degrees Fahrenheit. Though you may request a method of shipment when you place an order, during the winter and summer months we will not send out a shipment unless you explicitly advise us to do so via email, fax or note placed within your order. This is to ensure that temperatures are conducive during shipping and that your wines arrive in ideal condition. If you choose to ship during extreme temperatures, you waive the right to make any claims against Wide World of Wines for any damages that may occur to the items during transit. Wide World of Wines cannot be held liable for any damages or losses that occur to shipments while in transit and in the custody of a third party carrier.

Due to state and federal regulations, all shipments containing alcohol must be received by an adult 21 years of age or older. A person, 21 years of ago or older, must be physically present to sign for a delivery containing alcohol; therefore, we recommend that you ship to a business address. Any person receiving a shipment containing alcohol may be requested, and is legally required, to provide a driver's license or other photo identification to the delivering third party carrier in order to verify the recipient's age. Due to federal regulations we are unable to ship alcohol to post office boxes. We also are unable to schedule shipments for a specific time during the day due to third party carrier policies.

Due to state regulations, we are unable to ship to the following states: Alabama (AL), Arkansas (AR), Deleware (DE), Kentucky (KY), Mississippi (MS), Oklahoma (OK), Pennsylvania (PA), Rhode Island (RI), and Utah (UT). We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Shipping Costs

Shipping costs can vary based on several different factors such as the number of bottles being shipped, the location to which the shipment is delivered, and the speed at which the shipment travels. All shipments from Wide World of Wines are sent via FedEx; we offer Ground, 2-Day, 3-Day, Standard Overnight (next day), and Priority Overnight (next day A.M.) delivery options.

We charge you what FedEx charges us plus the cost of any materials used in the shipping process. We do not mark up shipping costs and we pass along any special discounts we may receive to our clients. Consequently, we will need to know the name of the person receiving the shipment, the exact shipping address including apartment or suite number, the number of cases and/or bottles to be sent, the speed you prefer to use, and a telephone number of the recipient before we can provide an accurate shipping quote. This also helps to ensure that your shipment is sent with both expedience and accuracy.

Payment Information

You must be 21 years of age in order to purchase alcoholic beverages from Wide World of Wines. By ordering products from Wide World of Wines, you confirm that you are 21 years of age or older.

In terms of online payment, we accept American Express, Visa, and MasterCard. In person and for telephone orders, we accept the previously stated credit cards as well as cash, cashier's checks, money order, and wire transfer. On our secure online order form, you can input your credit card information. If you desire, Wide World of Wines can remember your payment information for future orders.

If it is your first time ordering from Wide World of Wines, we may require your first shipment be sent to your credit card billing address. We apologize for the inconvenience, but this is for the safety and security of our customers. If you are unable to have the shipment sent to your credit card billing address, or if you are a new customer outside the United States, but you are able to pay by other means, e.g. wire, check, or money order, we may be able to process your order.
